Developing independence skills

Our residential services focus on empowering young people to develop their social, emotional, independence and functional skills, enabling them to acquire coping mechanisms for the future, and take steps towards resilience and wellbeing. We firmly believe that every young individual should have the chance to develop and receive an education that sets them up for a promising and productive future,

We collaborate with family members, caregivers, relevant parties, and the young people themselves to determine the best residential care option that addresses their needs and offers the appropriate level of support, starting from the point of referral.

Who can we support?

We assist children and teenagers from the age of 16+ who have various challenges in terms of social interaction, emotional well-being, education and behavior. These challenges may include:

Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
Sexually harmful behaviour and risk of offending
Risk of child sexual exploitation (CSE)
Complex emotional trauma
Attachment disorder
Moderate learning disabilities
Autism/Asperger syndrome
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Developmental delay
Past criminal and anti-social behaviours

High quality facilities and homely environments

Our children’s homes are designed to be warm and inviting, with amenities similar to a typical family home, but with necessary modifications to ensure that the young people in our care feel safe and well-cared for.

Our residential homes also offer:

Spacious and comfortable living areas, encouraging relaxing leisure time
Communal dining rooms, allowing young people to eat and socialise together where appropriate
Sensory rooms and other specialist equipment to support the needs of the people we care for
Sporting and other varied equipment to encourage hobbies and activities

Dedicated and highly skilled teams

We ensure that our residential support staff and managers are diverse in terms of gender, ethnicity, age, and background. They are all fully trained, experienced and have a professional background. We also have a strict recruitment process, which includes Safer Recruitment, to ensure that all staff are qualified and suitable for their role.

It is crucial for our organization that our staff are continuously supported, developed, and nurtured throughout their employment, so that we can deliver the highest quality service and positive outcomes for the children and young people we serve.
