If you already have professional experience in a care home, hospital or home care environment, great! If you haven’t worked in care before, but have experience of caring for a family member or friend – we have a limited number of roles available, please contact the team for more information. Please note that it is important that you are fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English.
As a carer, you will support the client with washing, dressing, and various other aspects of personal care. You will meet clients with varying degrees of dependency and medical diagnosis, as well as assisting with cooking, shopping, housekeeping, and ensuring your client feels safe, secure, and comfortable in their own home. Empathy is one of the most important qualities you can have as a live-in carer, as you support your client and help them manage their personal struggles on a daily basis. You’ll also need patience, dedication and a passion for helping others, as well as a positive demeanour.
